Carers’ support with interventions

Therapeutic interventions are part of the person’s treatment or care plan
and therefore are part of his or her daily life or routine. Your support with
interventions can be very helpful. For example, you might be asked to help
the person you are caring for to repeat at home some of the techniques or
skills that have been taught by the therapist or the clinician. Carers often
act as advocates as well, by helping individuals to make important decisions
about treatment plans.
