Miss M was 85 years of age and lived alone. She was diagnosed with Lewy ody dementia following a series of investigations prompted by memory loss nd disorientation accompanied by visual hallucinations of fish in her coal unker. This led to her emptying the coal bunker and putting the coal in the sitting room. She also ‘saw’ children dancing in her garden. These episodes ere not constant but were a very real experience.
She became worried about the children being out late in her garden and oncerned about the fish having no water. Family members had difficulty nderstanding what was happening, especially as at times they would visit and he expressed no such concerns.
